The case of creating and implementing an ERP system for the company’s work optimization
“Caviar and Fish” is a major retail chain of seafood stores. For a long time the company existed only offline, and at some point, its management decided to create its own Internet platform in order to optimize business control and increase its competitiveness on the market. So the network representative asked us to develop a service for the sale of goods.
We had to implement not just a website, but a comprehensive infrastructure with interfaces for internal couriers, operators, store cashiers and administrators.
The first step in development was to select the technology stack of the project. The client part we decided to implement on the popular frontend framework React, and the server part on backend framework Node.js.
In addition to the administrative panel from which all objects on the site are managed (goods, shops, vacancies), we have developed three custom personal accounts for staff.
One of the personal accounts is for the Cashier, it displays new orders. In it we also realized the possibility of processing goods and transferring them for delivery.
Another personal account is for the Operator, through which all actual orders for delivery and self-export are tracked, as well as communications from users of the site.
The next task was to develop the courier’s personal account, which we implemented as a PWA-application for a mobile device. By this we made it easier for the couriers to run the service. The account reflects all the information about the delivery details, as well as navigation with the help of integrated in the application Yandex.Maps.
The service distributes delivery orders to all stores in the chain. In order to synchronize the service with the warehouse, we have integrated it with the 1C system, which is now most often used in small and medium-sized businesses to automate management accounting.
Now the store "Caviar and Fish" is actively developing not only offline, but also on the Internet. The service is already gaining popularity among users, and we continue to expand the capabilities of the system by working on its modernization in joint with the customer.
