Wake the world
A social network app to share experiences, itineraries, and photos with other enthusiasts
Pobo is an Asian restaurant chain with several locations across St. Petersburg, Russia. Initially, the restaurant approached us with a request to support and refine its website, and we have collaborated for several months. At some point, we came to the conclusion that a food delivery mobile app would perfectly complement the digital services of Pobo, so we set about to developing the Pobo App.
The first step in developing any product, be it a delivery app or an online store, is choosing the right technology stack, and that's what we had to decide on, too. After consulting with the business, we chose React Native, the most stable framework for cross-platform development with minimal efforts.
Next, we created the UI/UX design; we came up with the screen layouts for desktop and mobile devices and created a design system for them. The UX research stage is particularly important, as this is the stage where we decide on how to optimize the interaction with the app. The restaurant and our team suggested various ideas on how to improve the user experience. Soon after, the design was ready, and we started developing the app itself.
As the app was being developed, we continued to refine the website and introduce updates in its functionality. Our team has added various functions to the server side of the product: for example, we implemented a referral program that works alongside the company's existing loyalty program.
Currently, the mobile app is already available on Google Play and App Store for downloading; it has been widely adopted by the restaurant's customers and introduced some new ones, too.
